What is the Purpose of a Benchmark for Machine Lubrication?
The first step in developing a machine lubrication program is to measure the effectiveness of the machines for the purpose of continuous improvement through a Benchmark Analysis. This 255 question survey covers nine categories and provides consistent, simple, and easily explainable scores. The categories cover all aspects of lubricants, vendor selection, program management, oil analysis, and safety for lubrication program reliability engineering.
Each question is answered with an objective yes or no from the client and for each “yes” response, a subjective score is assigned by the AMRRI consultant based on consistency and quality. The objective and subjective responses are combined to create an overall rating in each category resulting in an overall program score. The results are displayed graphically on a multi-dimensional chart so they can be easily understood.
